About Flaming Heart

Our Vision

At Flaming Heart our vision is to create an organization which serves the spiritual evolution of humanity.


We are a California 501(c)(3) non-profit religious organization, serving humanity from Newport Beach and Borrego Springs, CA.

Our Origin

Currently in its early stages, the organization plans to form a board and launch programs by the fall of 2025.


Peter Broome, the Founder and Director of FlamingHeart.org, began his meditation journey through Hatha Yoga in 1980s California and has been at it ever since. Over the years, he studied with various teachers, embracing a spiritual path that honors traditions without adhering to any specific path. 


We will be putting together an eclectic group of resources in the meditative and healing arts. Teachers, bodyworkers and healers interested in participating can email us directly. 

Our Progress

The  photo at the top of the page is of Indian Head in Borrego Springs and was taken from the property where Flaming Heart will hold mediation practice, spiritual circles and offer residency programs for spiritual writers and practitioners beginning in 2025.  


The original stewards of this land are the Kumeyaay Native American tribe and more can be found about them here. Hopefully we can work towards honoring this land with the tribe.
